A diehard’s MJ memorabilia

/ 08:30 PM June 23, 2013

MJ DOLLS are gifts from friends and souvenirs from Macau and Dubai.

NEVERLAND Valley bag, a rare souvenir from MJ’s home, is a gift from Mark and Faye Quindoy (the Filipino couple who used to work for MJ). The pouch was bought in Vietnam.

It’s been four years since my all-time idol, Michael Jackson, passed away. That was June 25, 2009; the pain never left. Now, there are days that I devote entirely to listening to his music and watching his videos. When I’m on “MJ marathon mode,” my gay son IC teases me, “Ma, the Jackson family has moved on; it’s about time you did, too.”  For diehards like me, to forget the King of Pop is unthinkable.  He lives inside my heart. In my

mind, I keep replaying MJ’s concerts that I had watched live in Singapore and Manila.

In line with the worldwide commemoration of MJ’s death anniversary by his legion of fans all over the globe (dubbed WorldCry), the Official Michael Jackson Fans Club Philippines will celebrate his legacy on June 29, 6 to 9 p.m. at Consulado Bar along Mother Ignacia Ave., Quezon City. MJ diehards are welcome to join us (add us on Facebook) for a minimum entrance fee of  P200. (For details, call Teri Callo, 0927-972977.)

To pay homage to the man I cannot love enough, let the photos of my MJ collection on this page say the rest.
