Stars shine on Team PNoy ‘miting de avance’

MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity endorsers, including, TV host Willie Revillame, appeared at the Team PNoy miting de avance at the Amoranto Sports Complex in Quezon City on Friday.
It was Revillame , who introduced and endorsed former Las Pinas Representative Cynthia Villar, the first senatorial candidate who first spoke during the event which started at around 4 p.m.
Revillame said he came for Villar.
After Villar’s speech, comedian “Chocolait,” who was wearing yellow dress with lavander “alampay” like his candidate – former Akbayan Representative Risa Hontiveros.
Former Aurora Representative Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, whose celebrity endorsers include actor Coco Martin, spoke next after Hontiveros.
Unlike Villar and Hontiveros, however, there was no Coco Martin or any celebrity, who introduced him on stage.
The other candidates who were on stage at around 5:30 p.m. were re-electionist Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes, former Senator Maria Ana Consuelo “Jamby” Madrigal, and re-electionist Senator Aquilino “Koko” Piment III.
All 12 senatorial candidates of Team PNoy and President Benigno Aquino III himself are expected to attend the event.
