Alex Gonzaga treated to baby shower by sister Toni
Weeks after the pregnancy announcement, soon-to-be mom Alex Gonzaga was treated to a baby shower by her sister Toni Gonzaga.
The baby shower, which originally took place last June 7 at an events place in Taguig, was featured in Toni’s YouTube vlog titled “The Baby Shower I’ve Always Prayed For My Sister,” uploaded on Sunday, June 14.
“Nangyari na ang baby shower na matagal ko nang ipinagdarasal para sa kapatid ko,” said Toni in a voiceover as Alex and husband Mikee Morada’s heartwarming moments were flashed at the beginning of the vlog.
While the couple has yet to reveal the gender of their baby, the baby shower’s blue and bear motif seemingly suggested that the pair is having a baby boy.

“It’s your party, baby. Everybody’s happy for you,” said Alex to her child as she rubbed her belly inside the car.
Aside from Alex and Toni’s family, their celebrity friends, including Julia Barretto and her mother Marjorie, Luis Manzano and wife Jessy Mendiola, Melai Cantiveros and husband Jason Francisco, were all present at the gathering.
Celebrity influencer couple Cong TV and wife Viy Cortez, content creator Toni Fowler, actress Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla, and actor-director Fifth Solomon also attended the baby shower.
The event was hosted by Bayani Agbayani and comedian-host Wacky Kiray.
Alex said that the baby shower is a “celebration of life” by God’s grace.
“Itong baby shower na ‘to for me is not just a party pero a celebration of life. Kasama namin ‘yung family na alam namin genuinely sobrang saya para sa amin na finally by God’s grace, nandito na ‘yung blessing, ‘yung baby namin,” said Alex in one of the highlights of the video.
The vlog ended with Toni delivering a message to her sister.
“I promise you kung paano kita minahal, inalagaan at pinrotektahan nung bata ka—,” she said before the video cut to black.
The second part of the vlog is expected to be uploaded next week.
Last May 23, Alex officially announced that she is expecting her first child with Morada after years of trying to conceive and experiencing multiple miscarriages.
Gonzaga experienced her first miscarriage in 2021, followed by another pregnancy loss in 2023. Morada announced in 2024 that they suffered their third miscarriage.
The couple tied the knot in 2020 in an intimate home ceremony after four years of dating. /edv
