Jessica Sanchez, Morissette showcase powerful vocals in ‘Stronger than Before’

Jessica Sanchez and Morissette reflect on the beauty of finding strength amid growing pains and hardships in the new single “Stronger than Before,” showcasing their powerful vocal chops.
“Stronger than Before,” released on Friday, May 1, is written by Jessica and Rodney Jason, and shows the female vocalists reclaiming their own power after “hiding [their] tears in shame.”
“This is such a special song to me because it really reflects so much of my personal journey — both in my career and in my life,” the Filipino-American singer said in a press statement.
“This song is about resilience, growth, and finding strength through those difficult moments. I wanted it to be an anthem for anyone who has ever felt knocked down but chose to rise again,” she continued.
“Stronger than Before” was recorded in Jessica’s home studio in Texas, which allowed them to get to know each other not only as vocalists but also as female artists. Getting to know each other better was showcased in the track. Despite their vocal prowess, neither tried to outshine the other in the song, allowing their styles to combine seamlessly.
According to the “America’s Got Talent” winner, she has been a fan of Morissette’s “passion and emotion” she brings into her performances, on top of her “powerhouse vocals.”
“I’ve admired Morissette for so long — not just because of her powerhouse vocals, but because of the passion, emotion and strength she brings to everything she does. Collaborating with her has been a dream, and I’m so grateful we got to create this together,” she said.
“One of my favorite parts was hearing how beautifully our voices blended. It felt so natural and powerful. There were definitely moments in the studio where we both just looked at each other like, ‘Wow, this is something really special,’” she continued.
Morissette is one of the special guests in Jessica’s upcoming concert at the Araneta Coliseum on May 16. Wilbros Live is the show’s promoter.
Other singers joining the powerhouse vocalist are Darren Espanto, James Reid, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez and Vice Ganda. /ra
