Five films in MMFF’s indie section
MANILA, Philippines–Five films have made it to the indie section of Metro Manila Film Festival: Armando Lao’s “Ad Ignorantiam,” Ronaldo Bertubin’s “Gayak,” Will Fredo’s “In Nomine Matris,” Michael Angelo Dagñalan’s “Paglaya sa Tanikala” and Tyrone Acierto’s “The Grave Bandits.”
The lineup was disclosed to the Inquirer by Digna Santiago, head of the indie section of the MMFF.
Among the actors in the cast of the indie films are Ina Feleo and Kristoffer King (“Ad Ignorantiam”); Alan Paule and Sef Cadayona (“Gayak”); Liza Diño and Biboy Ramirez (“In Nomine Matris”); Matteo Guidicelli and Sue Prado(“Paglaya sa Tanikala”); and Marti Sandino San Juan, Ronald Pacifico and Jill Palencia (“The Grave Bandits”).
The five films will be shown at two Glorietta cinemas from December 18 to 22 – as prelude to the main MMFF, which begins on Christmas Day.
