Robi Domingo, wife Maiqui Pineda expecting first child
It’s going to be an exciting 2026 for Robi Domingo and his wife, Maiqui Pineda, as they announced that they are pregnant with their first child.
The celebrity couple revealed in a joint statement on Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 6, that they are set to welcome the “greatest blessing” in their lives.
“Two years married… and now our greatest blessing is on the way. Happy 2nd anniversary! We’re ready to give you all our love,” they captioned the post.
The post included an Instagram reel that featured the candid reactions of their celebrity friends and family regarding their pregnancy announcement.

The video also included an old clip of the couple from Sept. 29, 2025, when they first found out that they were pregnant.
Domingo and Pineda broke down in tears after seeing the two lines on the pregnancy test as they embraced each other.
The pregnancy announcement came amid Pineda’s battle with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness, inflammation, and a skin rash.
It can be recalled that Domingo faced criticism in 2024 after he expressed his wish to have a child soon, with netizens pointing out that it was “insensitive and selfish” with his wife suffering from an autoimmune condition.
At the time, Pineda defended her husband, emphasizing that there were no issues regarding Domingo’s birthday wish at all, as it is also both their “goals to build their family in God’s plans and timing.”
Domingo and Pineda got engaged in 2022 and then tied the knot in January 2024. /edv
