The directorial works of Paolo Valenciano and Maki in SB19’s “Simula at Wakas” kickoff and the singer-songwriter’s “Kolorcoaster” concert, respectively, were recognized by the Aliw Awards Foundation under the Best Director for a Major Concert category.

Set to be held at the Manila Hotel’s Fiesta Pavillion on Dec. 15, the 38th Aliw Awards recognize the standouts in the theater, concert, and musical performance scene.

Aside from the winners, Rex Navarrete, Kathy Mas, Sounds of Manila, Sherwin Sozon, Carla Guevarra Laforteza, and Lorna Cifra will be inducted into the Aliw Hall of Fame. The Entertainer of the Year plum — said to be the biggest award of the night — will also be given at the ceremony.
