Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes’ daughter Zia wins Aliw Child Performer of the Year
Celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ daughter Zia took home the Aliw Breakthrough Child Performer of the Year trophy at the 37th Aliw Awards on Wednesday night, Dec. 18.
Dantes shared the news on his Instagram story by posting Zia’s photo with the trophy. Zia wore a lilac dress and was accompanied by her parents in the awarding ceremony.
In her acceptance speech, Zia, who bagged the award for her performance of “Rise Up” in the “Be the Guest” concert, gave a shout-out to her voice instructor as well as her supportive parents.
“Good evening, everyone. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak to all of you. And thank you for the Aliw Award, especially thank you to teacher Jade for always telling me never to give up and always achieve my dreams,” she expressed.
“And for mama, for always loving me and for always guiding me every step of the way. My family always loves me and always cares for me. Thank you everyone and good night,” she added.

Karylle Tatlonghari-Yuzon was honored as Best Lead Actress in a Musical for “Little Shop of Horrors.” Celebrity couple Shamaine and Nonie Buencamino were hailed as Best Featured Actress in a Play and Best Lead Actor in a Play, respectively.
Since 1977, the Aliw Awards annually honor individuals and productions in the local entertainment industry.
