Vice Ganda urges public to join Sept. 21 protest: ‘Magkita-kita tayo’

Vice Ganda seemingly hinted that he will be joining the public at the nationwide protest against corruption on Sunday, Sept. 21, after he shared an image that reads, “He will be seeing the people there.” 

Vice Ganda, who never shies away from his political ideologies, took to his Instagram on Friday to once again condemn corruption as he hinted at his participation in the mass rally on Sunday.

“Magkita kita tayo sa Luneta sa Linggo. Oras na para wakasan ang kagarapalan ng mga hayop na magnanakaw sa gobyerno (See you at Luneta on Sunday. It’s time to end the blatant corruption of thieves in the government ),” read the image he posted.

In a separate slide, the TV host shared a card announcement containing the time of the rally, starting at 9 a.m. at Luneta and at 2 p.m. at Edsa Shrine. He also shared a clip of the route that the rally will take.

Many Filipino celebrities have joined the public in expressing their frustration at the alleged corruption in government amid the investigation into the anomalous flood-control projects. 

Tuesday Vargas had earlier called on her fellow artists to make a stand and join the street protests against corruption. Ogie Alcasid also mentioned in an interview that he would be joining the mass protest on Sunday. /ra
