Claudine Barretto throws shade at Vanie Gandler amid rumored Julia-Gerald split

Claudine Barretto seemingly threw a jab at volleyball player Vanie Gandler, who’s rumored to be the third party in her niece Julia Barretto and boyfriend Gerald Anderson’s relationship.
In the latest episode of “This Issue is You,” Claudine was asked by hosts Ogie Diaz and Inah Evans if she has any idea about Julia and Anderson’s current status amid the rumors that the two have already separated.
“I have no idea. Puro naririnig ko rin lang ang daming mga (but I’ve been hearing a lot of) fake news. May kung sino-sino pang babae (many women’s names are mentioned), Gigi [de Lana], Arci [Muñoz] na napatunayan mong fake (that you have already proved to be fake),” said Claudine.
Diaz then mentioned Gandler, who’s also an alleged third party, saying that Anderson was spotted watching her volleyball games since last year.
“Ah hindi pa kami nag-abot ni [Gerald] (we haven’t seen each other), buti na lang (it’s a good thing),” said Claudine.
Diaz then went on to add that despite Anderson and Gandler being linked with each other, the two are said to be just good friends.
“Hindi ‘yan ang kwinento sa akin ng mga babies ko sa volleyball (that’s not what my friends from volleyball were saying),” said Claudine, who emphasized that she’s a big fan of volleyball and frequently watches Premier Volleyball League games (PVL).
When asked to elaborate about what she learned from her PVL friends, Claudine simply replied, “secret.”
Claudine then admitted that she stopped watching PVL games because she no longer wanted to see Gandler play.
“Basta hindi na ako nanonood ng PVL. Siya, ayoko nang makita. Wala naman akong galit sa bata. Hindi ko lang siya gusto, pwede naman ‘yon diba?” said the seasoned actress.
(I just don’t watch PVL anymore. I don’t want to see her anymore. I don’t have any anger towards the kid. I just don’t like her; that’s okay, right?)
In June, Anderson said in an interview that “everything is well” between him and Julia. At the time, the actor lamented how the public makes conclusions about other people’s relationships based on their social media interactions. /edv
