Brillante Mendoza in Europe and Asia

Filipino filmmaker Brillante Mendoza’s “Captive” is competing in this year’s St. Petersburg Film Festival, ongoing in Russia until tomorrow. Mendoza told the Inquirer that retrospectives of his works are also set in Rome and Bologna, Italy. Then he will proceed to Ghent, Belgium, for a screening of “Captive,” which will be shown in Busan, too. His film “Thy Womb” will be screened in Vienna, Austria; Mumbai, India and Busan, South Korea.
