Priscilla Meirelles on status with John Estrada: ‘Legally, we’re still married’

Priscilla Meirelles said she and John Estrada are still “legally married,” although she opted not to disclose if the two of them are still staying together.
During a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on Friday, Feb. 28, the actress-beauty queen admitted that she had faced several challenges in the past years, which became one of the motivations for her weight-loss journey.
“Dumanas ako ng marami in the span of two years, and one of the realizations that came to me was that kailangan ko na talagang bumalik sa dating ako,” she said.
Meirelles further disclosed health-related challenges including endometriosis and a surgery she underwent to remove a cyst from her body. Endometriosis, as per World Health Organization, is a disease “in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.”
Expounding on Meirelles’ remark, show host Abunda then asked her if the difficulties she had encountered were in relation to her marriage with Estrada.
“Ano ang estado ng inyong relasyon ngayon ni John?” he asked, to which she responded, “Legally, we’re still married po.”
When Abunda made a follow-up question, “Are you staying together?”, Meirelles did not give an outright answer.
“Let’s just stay that way — legally we’re still married,” she said, smiling.
Speaking about her current situation without divulging details about her relationship with Estrada, Meirelles underscored that she is “in peace” and that she has been focusing on herself.
“Whatever happens in terms of what is my status right now, all I can say is that technically I’m still married,” she noted.
She also reiterated Estrada’s July 2024 statement about their “mutual break” which, Meirelles insisted, she was unaware of. “That’s pretty much what’s happening. It was carried over.”
“I’m in a point in my life that pinaglalaban ko ‘yung sarili ko,” Meirelles stressed.
Meirelles and Estrada were previously spotted together during events involving their only daughter, Anechka.
