Hollywood actor Zac Efron gave one Filipino fan an unforgettable encounter after he jumped into a video call with her.
Filipina virtual assistant Gilliane Azuro took to Facebook on Wednesday, Feb. 12, to share the story about her special moment with the “High School Musical” actor.
In a now viral post, Azuro shared that she was in a video call with her boss before Efron entered the call and greeted her.
“Back when Zac Efron randomly popped into my client call and said hi to me,” she narrated.
Said client, who happened to be known digital marketing influencer Caleb Davidge, then introduced her to Efron. “This is Gilliane, my assistant from the Philippines. She’s the best.”
The actor then began talking to her. “Hi Gilliane! How are you?” she captioned their brief exchange alongside a screenshot of their video call.
Azuro underscored that, given how shocked she was, she can no longer remember what she said to the “Baywatch” actor.
“Literally have no idea what I said back… except I remember I said lemme take a pic (screenshot) and he did a peace sign,” she further said.
The brief but memorable encounter quickly went viral on social media as fans couldn’t help but take humor over the situation as they referenced Efron’s memorable roles.
“THE WAY ILL SING WERE BREAKING FREEEEE!!!!!!” wrote one netizen, referring to one of the songs from “High School Musical.”

“What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine,” pitched in another Facebook user, referencing the soundtrack of Efron’s “The Greatest Showman.”

Last year, Efron hinted at the possibility of a “High School Musical” reunion after he congratulated his former co-stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, who were both pregnant at the time.
“They’re going to be the best moms ever,” he said. “Those girls, are you kidding me? We’re going to have some fun family reunions coming up.”
