Kim Atienza reiterated that he’s only aware of the negotiations taking place between GMA and ABS-CBN, following rumors of the Kapuso morning show “TiktoClock” replacing “It’s Showtime” on its noontime slot.

Reports of “TiktoClock” allegedly replacing the Kapamilya noontime show on the 12 p.m. slot made rounds in November, as “It’s Showtime’s” contract will reportedly expire in December.

This led GMA senior vice president Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes to briefly state that “It’s Showtime’s” renewal was in the “process of negotiations” last month.

As a former “It’s Showtime” mainstay-turned-“TiktoClock” host, Atienza was also asked about the rumors on the sidelines of a press conference for his new show “Dami Mong Alam, Kuya Kim.”

“As far as [I know] about ‘TiktoClock’ and ‘It’s Showtime,’ ang alam ko lang (what I know is that) they’re negotiating for a renewal. My bosses from my former station and my [current] station are under negotiation. That’s all I know,” he said.

“Mabanggit lang ang ‘TiktoClock,’ masaya na ako. Mahal ko ang show na ‘yun eh. Of course, mahal ko rin ang ‘It’s Showtime’ kasi d’un ako nanggaling… but as I said, we’re loyal soldiers and we’ll do what we’re told,” he said.

“Alam ko lang may negotiation at nag-uusap sila ngayon. Kaya siguro pinaguusapan ang ‘TiktoClock,’ kasi mala-noontime show ang dating,” Atienza added.

(Just for “TiktoClock” to be mentioned, I’m happy. I love that show. Of course, I love “It’s Showtime” because it is where I came from. But as I said, we’re loyal soldiers and we’ll do what we’re told. What I only know is that negotiations are taking place and they’re talking about it. I guess “TiktoClock” is being mentioned because it follows the format of a noontime show.)

The TV personality joined as one of “TiktoClock’s” lead hosts in 2022.
