Kim Chiu on becoming the Tanduay Calendar Girl 2025: ‘It’s about time’
Kim Chiu is the latest high-profile celebrity to be chosen as the liquor brand’s iconic muse. The award-winning actress, TV host, and fashion icon was unveiled as the Calendar Girl for 2025 in a grand event production themed, “Aura” held at the Lucio K. Tan, Jr. Center in Pasay City.
The “Chinita Princess” joins the ranks of Julia Barretto, Kylie Verzosa, Bea Alonzo, and Heart Evangelista, who once were the faces of the local distiller.
“As we approach the close of another year, this annual tradition has become a highlight for many Filipinos. The announcement of the Tanduay Calendar Girl sparks excitement and anticipation, igniting curiosity and friendly speculation. Tonight, we celebrate not just an iconic campaign, but a legacy of empowerment, artistry, and values that define who we are at Tanduay,” said Lucio C. Tan III, president of the Lucio Tan Group and Tanduay Distillers, Inc.
“For decades, the Tanduay Calendar Girl has symbolized strength, beauty, and confidence, inspiring people across generations. She represents more than a role—it’s a statement of resilience and empowerment, qualities that resonate deeply with our market and our brand,” Tan added.
Eggshell Worldwide Communications, Inc. served as the PR and event managers behind the concept and staging of “Aura.”

It was more than just a night—it was a celebration of courage, freedom, and authenticity,” wrote Chiu in an Instagram post.
“I’m grateful for where I am, for the journey that brought me here, and for the people who’ve been my light along the way,” she further stated.
The Kapamilya actress also said she’s privileged to represent a brand that embodies her own ideals, which are quality and confidence.
“We Filipinos know how Tanduay has been providing us with the best rums for decades, and now the whole world also knows about it. Tanduay is also a brand that has withstood the test of time. 170 years na siya, pero patuloy pa rin siyang gumagawa ng quality products (It’s now on its 170th year, and it still continues to make quality products) and it just keeps on improving,” she said.
When asked why she accepted the offer to become the Tanduay Calendar Girl 2025, for Chiu, it was only a matter of time.
“A lot of people have known me since Pinoy Big Brother so I grew up in front of everyone’s eyes. And I think it’s about time for me to do this. I feel empowered actually. I feel grateful to be the Tanduay Calendar Girl 2025 because I feel like this is such a powerful moment for me,” she said.
“This is a milestone I never thought I’d get but I believe that this is a testament to how much I’ve grown and how far I’ve come not only as an artist and as an individual but most especially as a woman. I feel like this is such a powerful moment for me,” Chiu added.
Chiu took the entertainment industry by storm through ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition,” where she emerged as its first-ever winner. Most recently, she appeared in the top-rating drama series “Linlang,” which was followed by the Philippine adaptation of South Korea’s “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?”
Before the night ended, the Fil-Chi superstar had a piece of advice to share: “To all the women out there, I think that this is a reminder that there’s no dream that’s too big, no milestone that’s too far. They have a saying: success is not just about where you’ve been but where you’re willing to go. “
