Xian Lim takes first flight in pilot’s seat: ‘Here’s to new heights’
Almost two months since announcing that he was taking an aviation course, actor Xian Lim has successfully taken his first flight in the pilot’s seat.
On Instagram, Lim shared a video of himself on the air, taking control as the pilot.
“First time in the pilot’s seat! Nothing compares to the thrill of taking flight and seeing the world from above. Here’s to new heights and unforgettable views,” he captioned his post, adding the hashtag first flight.
In September, the “Playtime” actor shared that he was fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a pilot.
“It has always been my dream when I was a kid,” he said at the time. “There’s that certain level of respect when you meet pilots. You know, when you look up in the sky, parang [you ask yourself], how does that even work? How do they fly?”

Lim is celebrating his 15th year in show business this year. In an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, he said he would want to be remembered as someone who “puts in time on improving his craft.”
“I still have a couple of things that I’m writing and directing… What’s next are more edgy, out-of-the-box roles. I like to do things that you wouldn’t expect from me. I’m not going to let go of the rom-com genre because that’s my core. I also want to do action, either a film or a series. It’s something I haven’t fully explored,” he said.
