The Philippines sustained its status as a global pageant powerhouse when Isabelle De Los Santos was proclaimed as 2024 Miss Aura International first runner-up in Turkiye on Friday night, Oct. 18 (Saturday morning, Oct. 19 in Manila).

Colombia’s Yuri Rey bested 44 other aspirants to inherit the title from last year’s Thai winner Ketwalee Ket at the culmination of the ceremonies held in Antalya.

Rey’s victory came just days after her compatriot Diana Moreno was crowned as The Miss Globe 2024 in Tirana, Albania.

The Philippines’ Jasmin Bungay was second runner-up in that pageant.

Completing Rey’s Miss Aura International court were second runner-up Gizem Celik from host country Turkiye, third runner-up Yasmin Zaini from Malaysia, and fourth runner-up Makeeba Kaya Animpong from Ghana.

Alexandra Faith Garcia remains to be the lone winner from the Philippines in the Miss Aura International pageant.

She won in the global tilt’s 14th edition in 2021 as the country’s first-ever delegate.

De Los Santos officially received her title as The Miss Phillippines-Aura in February when organizer Empire Philippines announced the international pageant assignments of the finalists of the first edition of The Miss Philippines Culture and Heritage Celebration, a sister search of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant.

De Los Santos was one of the four finalists in the national search held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City in October last year.

Top winner Alethea Ambrosio was appointed to compete at the 2024 Miss Supranational pageant.

With De Los Santos’ Miss Aura International placement, all four finalists of The Miss Philippines have brought home distinctions from their global tilts this year.

Ambrosio finished in the Top 10 and was proclaimed as queen of Asia and Oceania in the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland in July, while Chantal Schmidt was first runner-up in Miss Eco International in Egypt in April.

Blessa Figueroa was third runner-up in the Miss Asia Pacific International contest held in Manila earlier this month.

De Los Santos is a model and actress who was previously seen in the comedy program “Quizon CT” with the sons of late “comedy king” Dolphy Eric, Epy and Vandolph.
