Sandra Lemonon, Sol Mercado’s two-year-old son suffered seizure

Sandra Lemonon recalled the hardships she and husband Sol Mercado experienced prior to their recent Bali wedding, revealing that among these was when their son Zaiah, 2, suffered from seizure the night before the ceremony.

The celebrity mom disclosed this in an open letter to Mercado via her Instagram page on Sunday, Sept 15.

“What a journey has it been to get to this very moment,” she began.

“It hasn’t been a smooth sailing nor easy as we had to face many hardships together (little Z had experienced a seizure the night before our wedding due to his high fever, tummy bug),” she revealed. “…Yet on the day of our wedding we could feel the strength, guidance, love of your papa and God as they were holding our hands every step of the way.”

Lemonon, who did not immediately expound on the condition of her son, then noted that the day of their wedding, Sept. 8, was also the death anniversary of Mercado’s dad.

“It was truly surreal, nerve wracking yet one of the most magical moments we have ever experienced together,” she said.

Nonetheless, the beauty queen underscored her gratitude for the outpouring love they felt on their special day.

“We did it my love. Only the two of us know what it took from us to be where we are,” she said. “To continuously finding each other and saying I do in many other lifetimes. (Maybe in the next one let’s find each other earlier.)”

Lemonon and Mercado confirmed their relationship in September 2021. The pair then announced their engagement and the beauty queen’s pregnancy with Zaiah in March 2022. Lemonon gave birth to her son the following June.
