Derek Ramsay’s Olympic moments

Actor/Model/Athlete and sports aficionado Derek Ramsay flew to London to cover the Olympics for TV5. “It was an awesome experience for me,” he said.

For Derek, it was more than just an assignment. “I was in London to support our athletes who are giving everything for our country.”

While in London, Derek took to Twitter to rally for the Filipino athletes. He tweeted: “Without proper support our athletes will never be competitive. Kung puso ang paguusapan panalo ang mga athletes natin. They gave everything!” and “To all the Filipino Olympians we are proud of you! Binigay nyo lahat para sa bayan nyo.”

A true sports fan, Derek said he enjoyed the revelry at the games. “I loved the Olympic spirit. Because of sports, the whole world came together as one. When athletes would compete, the crowd would cheer for all of them no matter what country they were from.”

Derek, an endorser of the Swiss watch brand Swatch, wore the different colors of the new Chrono Plastic watches during his reports. The new Chrono Plastic was launched via the Olympics coverage.

Derek is back in the country and is already looking forward to the next Olympic games. “I can’t wait for Rio in 2016,” he said.
