Carlos Yulo thankful to GF Chloe San Jose for caring for his mental health

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo expressed his gratitude to his girlfriend, content creator Chloe San Jose, for being a partner who cared for his mental health.
The gymnast briefly spoke about his relationship with San Jose in a “Luis Listens” interview uploaded on Luis Manzano’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, Sept. 3, when asked to thank the people who supported him throughout his Olympics journey.
“Sa partner ko, si Chloe [San Jose], maraming, maraming salamat mahal. Thank you so much sa pag-aalaga sa mental health and well-being ko. Thank you so much sa paggabay sa’kin para maging mas mature pa ako sa hamon ng buhay,” said Yulo.
(To my partner, Chloe San Jose. Thank you very much. Thank you very much for taking care of my mental health and well-being. Thank you so much for guiding me so I could be more mature when it comes to dealing with life’s struggles.)
After thanking his partner, Manzano praised Yulo’s romance with San Jose, saying taking care of one’s mental health is important in making a relationship work.

Inaalagaan ka rin sa mental health mo (That’s nice to hear. I mean, that’s how it should be. You shouldn’t just prioritize your heart and butterflies in your stomach. You should take care of each other’s mental health as well),” he said.
Article continues after this advertisementThe gymnast also thanked Philippine Gymnastics Association president Cynthia Carrion for serving as a motherly figure, and for never giving up on him throughout his Olympic journey.
“Ma’am Cynthia Carrion, grabe ang tiwala na binigay niyo sa’kin, lahat ng suporta. Tumayong pangalawang nanay ko talaga. Pinaglaban ang gymnastics sa Pilipinas, maraming maraming salamat po,” he said, while recalling how Carrion fought for proper funding to support his training.

Curiously, Yulo made no mention of his family. The public had previously witnessed the feud that Yulo and San Jose had been having with his mother, Angelica.
Yulo and San Jose’s relationship has been the subject of headlines since the athlete’s Olympic stint. The couple recently met up with Andrea Brillantes, with the content creator fangirling over the actress’ beauty.
San Jose shared on Tiktok in 2023 that she was the one who initiated the first move with Yulo through a private message in 2020, saying she’s a fan of him. Their conversation has since blossomed into a romance, where they initially had a long-distance relationship for two years.
The content creator recently graced the “ASAP” stage for the second time where she performed a cover of the hit song “Havana.” She, however, reiterated that she has no plans of joining showbiz.
