Mon Confiado castigates content creator for tarnishing his name online

Actor Mon Confiado called out a content creator after his name was used in a fake post that accused him of “bad behavior” in a supposed grocery encounter.
Confiado took to Facebook to pen a statement along with a screenshot of the post by the content creator named Ileiad and a copy of their conversation in which he confronted the latter for his offensive post.
“Ayoko na sana patulan itong certain Ileiad na ito, pero tama pa ba ang ginagawa ng mga content creator na ito? Gumawa ng story using my name and my photo, na meet daw nya ako sa grocery at magpapa picture daw sya, pero dinuro duro ko daw sya sa mukha at nakita nya na hindi ko binayaran ang 15 Milky Way Choco Bars na kinuha ko, at pinagsisigawan ko daw ang cashier ng grocery. Pinapalabas pa nito na magnanakaw ako,” detailed the actor.

He said he met me at the grocery store and asked to have his picture taken with me, but that I poked him in the face; he said he saw me not paying for the 15 Milky Way Choco Bars I got, and yelling at the cashier of the grocery store. He made me look like a thief.)

The theater actor lamented that it was a bad joke to gain likes at his expense, especially since many people were messaging him about the post and others might fall into the trap of fake content.
“Nung sinita ko, joke daw ito at ito ay “Copypasta” at biglang nilagyan ng “disclaimer” ang post nya, pero huli na. Pero hindi pa din inaalis ang post nya. Jokes at my expense? Joke, pero nakakasira ng tao? Bakit ka magjo joke sakin? Close ba tayo? Parang sobra na itong mga ito ah at para makakuha lang ng mga likes kahit makasagasa sila ng tao. Tapos sasabihin Joke,” expressed Confiado.

“Ang daming nag message sa akin at tinatanong kung totoo ba ito? Of course, sabi ko hindi yan totoo. Never happened. At hindi ako ganung tao. At may pagka mayabang pa itong Ileiad na ito, nung sinabi ko idedemanda ko sya dahil ayaw pa nya tanggalin ang post nya. Threat daw ba ito? Grabe itong, taong ito!”
(A lot of people messaged me and asked if this was true. Of course, I said that’s not true. Never happened. And I’m not that kind of person. And this Ileiad was even arrogant; when I said I would sue him because he didn’t want to remove his post. he said, ‘Is this a threat?’ This person is too much.)
“Copypasta” is an online trend that takes the form of teasing or deceiving, as it contains controversial made-up ideas or rants that are often posted for humorous purposes to provoke reactions from those unaware that the posted text is not true or just a meme.
The content creator’s post on Confiado was inspired by a “copypasta” on Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling showing a bad attitude at a grocery store that was originally posted 10 years ago but which recently gained interest among online users.
As of this writing, Ileiad’s Facebook page is no longer available for viewing or has been deactivated.
