On Thursday, Aug. 1, GMA announced in a statement on its social media pages that it received a formal complaint from Sandro against the network’s independent “contractors,” Nones and Cruz.

GMA said Sandro requested confidentiality, which means the “investigating body will withhold all details of the formal investigation until its conclusion.”

Without citing the specific incident, GMA previously addressed the blind item about the network’s two consultants, who “allegedly sexually abused a young actor after the network’s recent gala night.”

The speculations drew more public attention after Sandro’s father Niño and his wife posted cryptic statements about seeking “justice.” At the time, Sandro also shared a religious quote about the “helpless” on his Instagram.

Angela Muhlach, the younger sister of Niño, also previously posted a brief statement on her Instagram page, vowing that their family would “break the injustices.”

“Our family will be the ones to break the injustices all the other artists are facing. This has to stop. We will fight for justice,” she wrote, including the hashtag “Men too” in her post.

Meanwhile, after GMA’s statement, the accused camp released a statement through their legal counsel, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, saying they were “saddened by the allegations” adding that these “do not mirror the true accounts of the event.”
