Juliana’s mom, politician Lucy Torres, expressed her love for her daughter in the comments section, alongside fans and fellow celebrities who commended Juliana.
“The sight of you last night, all grown up and graduating from UP, made me all weepy. I love you and am endlessly and wonderfully proud of you, my little love,” Torres wrote. “You have worked so hard, but also so quietly. As you always do. Shine on. The best is yet to come.”
Torres and her husband, actor-turned-politician Richard Gomez, both attended the graduation ceremony of their daughter. Richard documented the event through a video compilation on his Instagram page.
Aside from being cum laude, Juliana also represented UP in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) as part of the UP fencing team. She emerged as the individual women’s epee champion at UAAP seasons 85 and 86.
