For Venice, Alexa was an aunt who inspired her to be a “super cool teenage girl” and made an effort to be her “babysitter” since 2007. “My dearest Tita Lex, nothing could have prepared me for how much I’ll miss you.”

“It has been a privilege to have known you and been loved by you,” Venice continued. “I will pray every day that you are resting easy, I will pray for the kids and Tito Elvis, and I will make sure to be the best ate to your girls. Your passing has left a hole in this family that nothing will be able to fill. I am so grateful for all the memories we’ve shared.”

Despite her diagnosis, Lorin remembered Alexa as someone who battled her cancer with “so much grace, positivity, and faith in the Lord.” She also expressed her gratitude to the latter for allowing her to be a “junior bridesmaid” at her wedding.

“I never wanted to know a world without you. You are so easy to love, which made saying goodbye to you the hardest thing I have ever been through. I missed you the second you left. Our family won’t be the same without you,” she added.
