Balares disclosed his recent conversation with Aquino on Instagram, on May 15. Despite being worried about the findings with her heart, the latter’s autoimmune medicines are slowly improving her condition.

“Finally, pagkaraan ng ilang taon nang pagpapagamot na walang nakikitang progreso, walang natatanaw na liwanag, tinablan na ito sa wakas ng itinaas na dosage ng methotrexate plus Dupixent,” he added.

In a separate post on May 16, Balares shared that Aquino’s food cravings are also coming back which is a hint of a person’s condition improving for the better.

“Bumabalik na ang food cravings ni Kris. Sabi ng grandfathers ko… pag naghanap ng masarap na pagkain ang may karamdaman, pabalik na sa mabuting kalusugan ang katawan,” he said.

Sharon Cuneta admitted that she and KC Concepcion are no longer close to each other while saying that she wants to keep their mother-and-daughter relationship just between the two of them.

In an interview with entertainment journalist MJ Marfori via Tiktok, Cuneta said she and Concepcion are having problems, and are in fact “estranged.” The interview was conducted while her husband, former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, was with her.

“Ano man ang problema namin ng panganay ko because at this point, we’re estranged. And I’m very, very hurt,” she said in response to a question regarding the cyber libel case she and Pangilinan filed against entertainment insider Cristy Fermin.

The Megastar then asserted there are problems she’s going through with her children which should be kept between them.

“But there are things na, tama na ‘yun. Amin na lang,” she said. “Kahit bali-baliktarin mo ang mundo, mahal mo pa rin ang anak mo. So tiis-tiis na lang muna. Dadating ang point na ayoko nang isiksik ang sarili ko sa anak ko.”

Cuneta’s admission comes five months after she became emotional over Concepcion’s absence last Christmas. Among their recent appearances together was the “Dear Heart” concert with her ex-husband Gabby Concepcion in October 2023.

On Mother’s Day, KC Concepcion paid a loving tribute to her mother, Sharon Cuneta, days after the Megastar said that the two of them are currently “estranged.”

Concepcion posted a picture of herself and Cuneta on Instagram while she was still a toddler, but she made no reference to her mom’s revelation about their relationship.

“To my beautiful mama, it’s your day. I pray for us to enjoy life’s pleasures and adventures together soon. You’re the first person I ever met, and ever loved, it’s because of you that I’m here today. Trust in the way you raised me – I will always strive to make you proud and feel that having me was worth it,” she captioned her post.

“I love you. I wish I could give you the world so you wouldn’t have to worry about anything for another second. Happy Mother’s Day mama!” she added.

In a Mother’s Day vlog, Concepcion enumerated the Top 10 gifts that she cherished the most from Cuneta over the years. She added that the latter “speaks her love language” and her gifts are a way to feel her presence.

“Gifts are my love language… and my mom speaks my love language very well. Naging special ang memorable gifts na binigay sa’kin ng Mom ko because it makes me feel that she’s always with me whenever I see them, wear them, or use them,” she said.

Dina Bonnevie recalled how she made peace with herself after being bitter for so long following her separation from her ex-husband Vic Sotto.

In a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on May 10, Bonnevie shared that her daughter Danica Sotto played a part in forgiving Sotto, Coney Reyes, and herself. Danica was instrumental in making her realize that she had long been bitter about the situation.

“It took a lot of time, until the point where Danica was telling me, ‘Alam mo Mommy, you’re so bitter. I wish you would really let go, because you are so bitter,’” she said. “Through time, sabi ko, walang pupuntahan ito, unless I really let go and just accept that it’s like this.”

Bonnevie also shared that Reyes invited her to go to their church, which made her see the bigger picture of the situation.

“I let it go. I gave her a bunch of white roses, and I said, ‘I forgive you,’” she recalled after her church visit. “I forgave her; I forgave Vic; I also sent him flowers; and I said, ‘I forgive you.’ But most of all, I forgave me.”

Bonnevie and Sotto tied the knot in 1982 and separated four years later. Their marriage was annulled in 1992. They share two kids, Danica and Oyo Boy Sotto.

Priscilla says Janice reached out during ‘trying times’

Priscilla Meirelles disclosed that while she doesn’t share a close relationship with Janice de Belen, she admires the actress for reaching out to her during the former’s “trying moments” in 2023.

Meirelles spoke about her relationship with de Belen, the former wife of her actor husband John Estrada, in a “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview last May 13.

“When it comes [to] Ms. Janice, never kami naging close pero na-appreciate ko siya nang sobra kasi last year, actually, nag-reach out siya sa akin—and I hope it’s okay to share,” she said. “Woman-to-woman, she was very kind and I appreciate that.”

It was last year when Meirelles and Estrada went through a rough patch in their marriage. Meirelles, however, opted not to share more details about her interaction with de Belen.

“We’re never close; we did work before together but of course, I’m married to her ex. Although I’m not the reason why they separated—let’s make this clear,” she stressed. “‘Yung pagpasok ko sa buhay ni John, they were already annulled [for many years].”

“But woman-to-woman, I think she can feel me and I think she understands where I’m coming from,” she continued. “And I think she appreciates the fact that I’m good to her kids [Inah, Moira, Kaila, and Yuan], and they love me and I love them. That means a lot, and that means it shows who she is as a person. I admire her for that and I thank her. She’s a wonderful woman.”

Meirelles then underscored that she will fight for Estrada and their marriage for as long as she deems it’s “worth it.” She further noted that Estrada vowed to do his best after their misunderstanding and that she believes in him.

“But again, tao lang tayo. I’m in a situation where — of course, we’re married pa rin and we were just laughing and having a great time yesterday. But I’m not gonna take anything of what I already took up to this point. Alam niya na nasa limit na ako so whatever happens from this point on, it’s on him. I’ve done my part,” she said.

Xian ‘super difficult’ to work with — GMA writer says

Xian Lim

Xian Lim was “super difficult” in a professional setting, almost to the point where others felt “miserable,” a writer who professed to be from the actor’s home network, GMA claimed on social media.

One Brylle Tabora, whose Facebook profile stated that he works in GMA as a writer, made the claim against Lim in the comments section of a post from lifestyle magazine Esquire Philippines last May 7. The magazine recently had an exclusive interview where the actor admitted that he was already dating Viva producer Iris Lee.

In the comments, Tabora couldn’t help but share his experience working with Lim, saying he made the lives of TV writers “miserable.”

“What a friggin’ joke, and he’s also super difficult to work with!! Made our lives as TV writers miserable. UGH,” the writer said without disclosing any details.

Lim and his management Viva Artists Agency have yet to address Tabora’s claim.

INQUIRER.net likewise reached out to Tabora, but he has yet to respond.
