Days before the official announcement, Star Cinema drew excitement among fans after it dropped another teaser for its collaboration film with GMA Pictures.

Star Cinema showed a photo with a view of the clouds and the greeting “Hello!” peeking through, as seen on the film studio’s Instagram page on Friday, May 17.

“[On my way]!” it said, along with an airplane and cloud emoji. “Can’t wait to say ‘hello’ when we meet again this Sunday, May 19, 6 p.m. (MNL time).”

Netizens then took to the comments section to make their guesses, with most of them seemingly convinced that the project is the sequel to the Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards starrer “Hello, Love, Goodbye.”

Just prior to this, Richards echoed the sentiments of fans looking forward to the film sequel and said, “Hindi pa tayo sure (I’m not sure) but let’s hope for the best.”

“Hello, Love, Goodbye” director Cathy Garcia-Sampana and writer Carmi Raymundo also made a buzz in April after they made references to the blockbuster movie while in an airport in Hong Kong.

The 2019 film, which also stars Kakai Bautista, Joross Gamboa, Maymay Entrata and Lovely Abella, among others, had been the highest-grossing film in the Philippines until Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes’ “Rewind” surpassed it earlier this year.
