IU and EXO’s Doh Kyungsoo, also known as D.O., showed off their vocal prowess as they performed a cover of the singer-actress’s hit song “Love Wins All” in the recent episode of her talk show “Palette.”

The track is the lead single of IU’s sixth mini-album “The Winning,” dropped in January 2024, a month before the EP’s official release. The music video centered on the singer-actress starring as the wife of BTS’ V, in a dystopian world where they fought against a mysterious cube that destroys people’s bodies.

Months after the track’s release, IU and D.O. did a rendition of the “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo” star’s hit song in the form of a duet. The former also performed her own rendition of the EXO member’s song “I Do.”

“Kyungsoo, your songs are so comfortable to listen to and it sounds easy. But when you try singing it, every song is so hard. None of [your] songs are easy to sing,” added IU.

The duet caught the attention of K-pop fans on social media, with some praising them for being “well recognized actors” who can “flex [their] heavenly vocals.”

Since the start of 2024, D.O. has been making waves for his covers of the songs “Rewrite The Stars” with AKMU’s Suhyun, “Spot!” with Zico, and “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran on social media.

D.O. and IU are known in the Korean entertainment industry as multi-awarded actor-singers in their own right. The former is best known for his lead roles in “100 Days My Prince,” “The Moon,” and “Swing Kids,” to name just a few.

The EXO member dropped his third mini-album “Blossom” last May 7, his first record since moving to Company Soosoo for his solo activities. He remains a member of the K-pop boy group.

Meanwhile, among IU’s hit projects include “Scarlet Heart: Ryeo,” “Hotel Del Luna,” “Dream High,” and “My Mister.” She is set to visit the Philippines on June 1 for her “Hereh” tour.
