Sharon Cuneta reflects on leaving the industry: ‘I won’t need a concert’
Megastar Sharon Cuneta penned a sentimental message about leaving the industry, saying that “she won’t need a big concert or any bells” to announce her departure.
On Instagram, the award-winning singer-actress shared a beach photo that was taken at night time, with the calm of the trees and shore.
“I am very much enjoying my private life. When I leave, I won’t need a big concert or any bells and whistles to say goodbye. I will do it quietly,” she captioned her post.
The Megastar said that the only thing she will be bringing is the “love” that the people, especially the fans, have given her.
“I will bring all the love you have given me for over four and a half decades, and I will leave you mine. I am so thankful for all you have given me. I love you all very much,” she continued.

The fans took to the comment section to share their thoughts, saying that her contribution to the industry deserves more than a quiet goodbye.
“I think otherwise. You deserve all the bells, all the whistles, all the dang fireworks, all the concerts, and all the love because of all the hard work and dedication you have made and given to the Filipino people around the world. No one has done showbiz as gracefully as you. You deserve to be celebrated,” wrote one fan.
“I can’t imagine Philippine show business without a Sharon Cuneta,” wrote another netizen.
With a career spanning more than 40 years, Cuneta has established herself as a key figure of local show business who became successful in all the multiple fields of entertainment, from film, television, music, and endorsements.
