Filipinos have the opportunity once again to prove the country’s might in international pageantry as the Miss World 2024 pageant opens its online poll for delegates, including the Philippines’ Gwendolyne Fourniol.
Fourniol, a French-Filipino beauty from Negros Occidental, is among 112 delegates aspiring to inherit the Miss World crown from reigning Polish queen Karolina Bielawska, who has held on the title for two years already.
Fourniol’s suporters may show their support by boosting her scores in the “Multimedia” fast-track competition, whose winner is guaranteed a spot in the quarterfinals.
To push her chances of securing the top spot, supporters need to download the Mobstar app on Google Play or App Store, then create an account. In the roster of Miss World delegates, search for Gwendolyne Fourniol, click on the profile picture and then tap “follow.”
Supporters are advised to like every post from Fourniol’s profile because one “like” is equivalent to one vote for the Multimedia fast-track competition.
To date, Megan Young remains to be the lone Miss World winner from the Philippines. She captured the title in the contest’s 63rd edition held in Indonesia in 2013, more than a decade ago.
