Jolo Revilla was ecstatic as he revealed that his wife, beauty queen Angelica Alita, gave birth to their first child, a baby girl, on Jan. 30 (Jan. 31 US time).

“Today is a very special day for us. We are very happy and grateful to announce the birth of our beautiful and healthy baby girl,” the actor-politician said in a statement released on his Facebook page.

“We would also like to thank everyone for their prayers and warm wishes,” he stated, alongside a photo of them three at a hospital.

Alita, according to a video shown by Revilla prior to the childbirth announcement, went through labor for over 17 hours.

Further details on their bundle of joy, including the child’s name, have yet to be revealed as of this writing.

Revilla, who currently serves as the representative of the first district of Cavite in the lower house, went public with his relationship with Alita in February 2019. In December of the same year, the pair tied the knot in California.

The couple announced Alita’s pregnancy in August 2023, then revealed at an intimate party that their first child is a girl.
