With Ahyeon back in the group, BabyMonster is releasing its new single “Stuck In The Middle” on Feb. 1.

YG Entertainment made the surprise announcement of the new release with a video on its official YouTube channel on Thursday.

“Ahyeon has fully recovered and she is now back recording the singles for the group’s upcoming album. We wanted to drop this announcement that many of you have been waiting for as soon as possible,” YG founder and executive producer Yang Hyun-suk said in the clip.

Ahyeon was meant to be part of BabyMonster after going through a monthslong evaluation process shared on YouTube by the agency. However, she did not debut with the group in November last year due to health issues.

Her return is likely to give the group a boost, as Ahyeon was one of the most popular members before its official debut.

Ahyeon will be taking part in the group’s promotion of their first EP, to be released in April.

Yang Hyun-suk also hinted that BabyMonster would now aim at the global music market.

“We have augmented the number of our producers to around 50 from 10. We promise that we will be able to present releases much faster than before. We aim to release the group’s studio album in the fall of this year,” he added.

Ahyeon took part in recording the upcoming single “Stuck In The Middle.”

YG had also teased that the single will focus on showing off the group’s outstanding and unique vocals, different from the group’s hip-hop debut single “Batter Up.”
