John Dos Santos, dad of singer-actress Tippy Dos Santos, cried foul after unidentified individuals tried to take advantage of his wife Happy’s death by using his name and setting up a fake fundraising website for her.

John showed a screenshot of the fake Facebook account under his name as well as the link to the website through his official Facebook page on Sunday, Dec. 31.

“This [is] a fake account. I did not set up a go get funding account,” he said. “Someone is trying to take advantage of my wife’s death. Please help me and my family report this.”

Both the fake account and the fundraising website can no longer be accessed as of this writing.

John and Happy figured in a car accident during their South Korea trip last Dec. 27.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN reporter MJ Felipe, Tippy disclosed that her dad suffered from fractured ribs and minor abdominal injury/trauma. Happy, on the other hand, suffered from rib bleeding, a head injury and fractures.

After three days in a coma, Happy passed away. The Dos Santos family is currently processing Happy’s return to the Philippines.
