On his Instagram Stories, Red also uploaded snaps from the meeting, which netizens have assumed is for the upcoming horror movie “Nokturno,” which marks the reunion project for the director and Lustre, who topbilled Red’s award-winning film “Deleter.”
“Nokturno” will be the first offering of Red’s Evolve Studios, which is a partnership with Viva. According to an article by Variety, the film will feature “an ancient curse” that Lustre’s character will try to solve when she returns to the Philippines from working abroad.

Her recent appearance in the Real Florido feature “Will You Be My Ex?” marked the first time the 25-year-old actress worked with the movie’s leads, Julia Barretto and Diego Loyzaga. Furthermore, the change in management, also paved the way for Binene to have guestings in ABS-CBN and TV5 programs.
“Ngayon po, for me, everything is exciting kasi ang dami kong mga namimeet na hindi ko pa nameet before. Ang dami kong mga nakakatrabaho na hindi ko nakatrabaho before,” shared the “My Kontrabida Girl” actress during the media conference last month for the newly launched Kapatid drama anthology “For the Love.”
(At present, for me, everything is exciting because there are a lot of people that I meet that I haven’t met before. I’m able to work with several people, with whom I haven’t worked before.)
The young entrepreneur — she runs an online baking business and owns a café in her mother’s hometown of Nueva Ecija — also told the press how she never imagined herself getting the chance to say, “Hello, mga Kapamilya” and “Hello, mga Kapatid.”
“And, siguro (I guess), like to top the list is no’ng nagpo-promote kami ng (when we were promoting) ‘The Rain in España,’ siyempre (of course) coming from an 18-year journey in GMA, I never thought that I would greet everyone… ‘Hello, mga Kapamilya’ at ‘Hello, mga Kapatid’…within three months,” added Binene, who has already made appearances in ABS-CBN’s “Magandang Buhay,” PIE channel’s “Ur Da Boss,” and TV5’s “Emojination.”
In “For the Love,” Binene will get to work again with Gab Lagman, who was also part of the Kapatid series “The Rain in España.” Their episode — one of 13 episodes — she teased, will show that love “comes in the most unexpected time….in the most unexpected situation and unexpected location.”
Regarding how their episode’s theme song, Adie and Janine Berdin’s “Mahika,” is incorporated into the story, Binene added that the “mahika (magic)” aspect of their story can be showcased in the situation wherein, “if you feel the magic, kung nandiyan na ‘yung mahika, hindi mo na mako-control ‘yon [‘yung feelings mo] (if the magic is already there, you won’t be able to control your feelings anymore).”
Binene started her career as a finalist in the GMA talent search “StarStruck Kids.” While she failed to clinch the “Ultimate Female Survivor” title, she featured in numerous Kapuso programs from 2004 until her most recent Kapuso project, the 2022 series “The Fake Life,” in which she got to act again with former on- and off-screen partner Jake Vargas.
