Well-deserved ‘reward’ for Regine
“I like ABS-CBN’s ‘The Biggest Loser’ because I can totally relate to it,” shares Ling Marapao, a dieter: “The contestants’ emotions are genuine. My heart goes out to them, particularly to Eboy Francisco, who has so much to lose—and so much to give.
“The show’s been airing for quite a while now, but I don’t think host Sharon Cuneta has lost any weight. I feel she doesn’t put in as much effort as the participants, and I wish to see her back to her just-right figure.
“Trainer Chinggay Andrada shows her frustrations without regard to how difficult the tasks are. She smothers the contenders with an ‘It’s for your own good’ kind of pep talk, and it’s annoying!”
Other notes:
Cathrina Lardizabal, musician: “Regine Velasquez is blessed in so many ways—a flourishing career, a happy marriage that she had patiently waited for and, soon, a baby boy. God has truly rewarded her for everything that she’s done for her family. Kudos to you, Regine!”

It seems like only yesterday when then teener Lotlot de Leon graced the TV screen with ‘Lotlot and Friends’ and her movie outings for Nora Aunor’s NV Productions and Regal Films. Two Sundays ago, it was her daughter’s turn to shine—Janine Gutierrez was launched as a mainstay of GMA 7’s ‘Party Pilipinas.’ She’s stunning and is beauty-queen material. She got her parents’ best features. She sounded tentative in her singing but, hopefully, will do better next time.
