Just days after G-Force’s creative director Georcelle Dapat-Sy confirmed that there were “artistic differences” between her and Sarah Geronimo, the latter finally broke her silence on the matter and commented on why the dance guru were absent during her 20th showbiz anniversary concert.

In a video uploaded by TV-5’s MJ Marfori on Instagram, Geronimo said that she would have wanted for Dapat-Sy and her dance troupe to be part of her anniversary concert last May 12, as they have been a part of her career.

“Salamat po [sa G-Force]. Siyempre, malaking bagay sila sa career ko (Thank you to G-Force. Of course, they’ve been a huge part of my career),” Geronimo said in a brief message to Marfori when asked about her working relationship with G-Force.

“It would have been more magical if they were there. I wanted them to be there to celebrate my 20 years with me. Baka maiyak ako (I might cry),” she added, before laughing.

Dapat-Sy has yet to respond to Geronimo’s remarks.

G-Force’s absence during Geronimo’s concert was conspicuous after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the singer-actress used fast-paced movements to her hit song “Tala,” which was a far cry from the original dance steps choreographed by the dance troupe.

Amid the speculations, Dapat-Sy said in a statement on Ogie Diaz’s vlog that while she does not think that there was a falling-out between her and the Pop Princess, she admitted that there have been “artistic differences” between them.

Dapat-Sy also clarified to Diaz that she wasn’t in a position to demand “at least P150,000” should the former’s choreography be used during her concert.

“OMG, demand?! Why will I demand [it]? Wala ako sa position to demand for anything especially when no work is delivered pero I can quote for the price of the use of my copyrighted works. I sent a personal letter, not a demand letter. I did not demand [it],” her statement read.

“Not being a part of her 20th [showbiz anniversary] is my gift of freedom so she can fully express her creative dreams,” Dapat-Sy further explained. EDV
