Song Hye-kyo, Han So-hee pull out of upcoming K-drama ‘The Price of Confession’ — reports
Korean superstars Song Hye-kyo and Han So-hee have reportedly pulled out of their roles in the upcoming series “The Price of Confession,” due to some alleged “differences” with the production team.
The actresses and director Shim Na-yeon decided not to appear in the drama after various discussions, where Hye-kyo and So-hee had “some differences” with the production team, according to a report from Korean media outlet News1 on Wednesday, May 17.
Representatives of the South Korean stars responded to the report on the same day, where both agencies clarified that they are “still in the process of checking.”
“We are in the process of checking. It is difficult to answer precisely at this moment,” Hye-kyo’s label UAA said, per a translation from Soompi.
“We also learned about the news that actress Han So-hee’s appearance in ‘The Price of Confession’ got canceled from the reports. We are currently checking the related information,” So-hee’s agency 9ato stated.
Following the reports, production company Studio Dragon said in a separate statement that they “do not know anything” about casting-related matters. It can be recalled that the company is in charge of producing the upcoming drama.
However, reports containing Studio Dragon’s statement have been deleted from search platform Naver, South Korea’s Google, as of this writing.
“The Price of Confession” revolves around an art teacher and mysterious woman who were involved in a murder case. Reports of Hye-kyo and So-hee’s being part of the K-drama emerged as early as August 2022.
Since then, the actresses have expressed their support for one another on social media on various occasions, where Hye-kyo recently sent a coffee truck to So-hee in support of her upcoming project.
