Jak Roberto flexes abs, but what Barbie Forteza noticed was his worn-out shorts
Looks like David Licauco is getting some serious competition from fellow Kapuso hunk Jak Roberto in terms of having the best abs in local tinseltown.
On Instagram, Roberto put his lean figure on display, giving fans and followers much to talk about, such that one even called him the “pambansang abs” (national abs), an apparent dig at Licauco, whose role as Fidel in the recently concluded “Maria Clara at Ibarra” (MCAI) earned him the moniker “pambansang ginoo” (national gentleman).

Licauco also recently flaunted his body in several social media platforms after he was featured in a number of magazine covers following the success of MCAI, which paired him with Barbie Forteza, Roberto’s real-life girlfriend. So popular was Licauco and Forteza’s pairing in the series that fans came up with a name for their love team, “FiLay,” a combination of their characters’ names, Klay (Forteza) and Fidel.
Forteza, however, seemed to have noticed not her boyfriend’s abs but the pair of worn-out low-riding shorts he was wearing in the Instagram picture, commenting that it has already seen better days.

But while some fans commented on the couple’s easygoing relationship, most of them chose to give their approval to the photo showing Roberto’s bare chest.
Forteza and Roberto first met on the set of the GMA teleserye “Meant To Be” in 2017, and started dating in the same year. In a May 2021 report of INQUIRER.net, Roberto said Forteza is “the one” for him.
Earlier, Forteza expressed gratitude to fans who supported her love team with Licauco even though it was just for the show. She also said that she was grateful to Roberto for being understanding and supportive of her career choices. EDV
