19-year-old former Binibining Pilipinas candidate is Miss Caloocan 2023
Nineteen-year-old Natasha Jung, a former Binibining Pilipinas candidate, was crowned Miss Caloocan 2023 on Saturday, besting 21 other candidates for the title.
At the grand coronation night held at the Caloocan Sports Complex celebrating the city’s 61st Founding Anniversary, Jung exhibited her beauty, talent and intelligence. She received P150,000 cash prize and products from various sponsors.
During the question and answer portion, she was asked by Aubrey Malapitan, wife of Caloocan Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan and one of the pageant judges, if the monument of national hero Andres Bonifacio may still be considered a significant historical landmark given that it is now being surrounded by many commercial establishments.
“The monument of Bonifacio is [part of] our history. That is the reason why Caloocan is known, for its history. It will forever be relevant,” said Jung, who represented Barangay 179. Aside from having joined Binibining Pilipinas, Jung also joined Miss World.
Meanwhile, Patricia Agapito was named first runner-up; Kairi Clemente as second runner-up; Ma. Christine Ordeviza as third runner-up, and Juliana Losito as fourth runner-up.
