Japan pageant acquires franchise for PH-based global tilt
MANILA, Philippines — The Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan pageant will add another national title to the list of crowns it will bestow in this month’s coronation program after national director Myla Villagonzalo Tsutaichi acquired the license to select the “land of the rising sun’s” delegate to the Mrs. Face of Tourism Universe contest.
The Mrs. Face of Tourism Philippines pageant, the Philippine national affiliate of the Mrs. Face of Tourism Universe competition, announced on Facebook that Tsutaichi has been designated as the global tilt’s national director for Japan. The international contest is mounted by Filipino pageant organizer Annie Refrea, and is set to stage its inaugural edition later this year.
Tsutaichi herself is an international beauty titleholder. She received the Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International crown in a competition held in Malaysia in 2019.
When Tsutaichi launched the Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan pageant last year, she announced partnerships with the Malaysia-based Mrs. Tourism Ambassador Universe competition and the Australia-based Mrs. Universe (Official) contest.
With the recent franchise acquisition, the Japanese national pageant has updated the list of titles at stake in the competition—Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan, Mrs. Universe (Official) Japan, Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Phil-Japan, Mrs. Universe (Official) Phil-Japan, and Mrs. Face of Tourism Japan.
