Zack Tabudlo’s label to take legal action over claim singer was ‘rude’ at event
Zack Tabudlo’s record label has spoken up on “damaging” claims made by a certain individual against the singer and stressed that it will take legal action on the matter.
An individual, who is reportedly an events organizer, posted negative comments about Tabudlo in a now-deleted post on Facebook last Sunday, Dec. 11. But while the post has been deleted, it was reposted by several other netizens.
She claimed that the head of events at a Makati City event last Dec. 4 called Tabudlo to go on stage but that the singer allegedly shouted because he was not scheduled to perform until 15 minutes later. She also said that Tabudlo had slammed a door, was “rude and obnoxious” and walked out after his performance.
Following these allegations, UMUSIC Philippines (UMG PH), which is under the Universal Music Group, released a statement on the issue via its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages yesterday, Dec. 12.
UMG PH described the claims against Tabudlo as “false, damaging and defamatory” while explaining that there were “minor incidents” that did not involve the artist.

UMG PH will not tolerate this kind of behavior towards our artists and colleagues,” the label added.
UMG PH stated it is now consulting with its legal team and vowed to take legal action over the damages caused by the claims.

The singer’s father, Rj Tabudlo, also explained via his Facebook page yesterday that nobody had approached his son to go on stage and that Zack did not slam the door on anyone. He also pleaded the public to stop bashing his son and explained that Zack’s new road manager at the time of the event was the one who had a misunderstanding with the organizers.
“Napakabait na bata n’yan ni Zack [especially] sa mga lumalapit. You can even ask his bodyguards, pinapagalitan sila ni Zack ‘pag pinipigil mga tao magpa-picture sa kanya,” Rj said. (Zack is a very kind kid especially to those who approach him. You can even ask his bodyguards, Zack would reprimand them for stopping the people who want to take pictures with him.)
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Zack was named Spotify Philippines’ top local artist and was also among its top artists, with 6 million monthly streams on the platform. /ra
