Carla Abellana, Kris Bernal go caroling to raise funds for abandoned and rescued animals

Carla Abellana and Kris Bernal made sure that the holidays will be made special for some animals as well, as they went caroling for a fundraiser to help feed stray cats and dogs.
The two actresses, who are both fur parents, went caroling at the opening of a bazaar at World Trade Center as part of the fundraiser, as seen on Bernal’s YouTube vlog last Sunday, Dec. 4.
“Kailangan namin mag-raise ng funds para sa MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary, para pambili ng dog food, cat food,” Bernal explained. (We need to raise funds for MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary, so they can buy dog food [and] cat food.)
“Hindi ko ‘yan hihindian basta para sa mga rescued na aso at pusa,” Abellana added. (I will not say no to that as long as it is for rescued dogs and cats.)
Bernal then expressed appreciation for Abellana while showing part of her vlog via her Instagram page today, Dec. 6.
“All for the love of dogs, nangaroling kami (we went caroling)! I thought what better way to raise more awareness for my fundraiser and spread happiness is through this—mangaroling tayo (let’s go caroling)!” Bernal said.
“Thank you, Carla, for being so game!” she added. “Marami tayong mapapasaya na rescued and abandoned animals of [MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary]. Thank you din po sa lahat ng pamasko, ang babait po ninyo!” (We will make many rescued and abandoned animals of MBY Pet Rescue and Sanctuary happy. Thank you as well for the gifts, you were all so kind.)
According to Bernal, she wishes to raise P77,777 before her fundraiser concludes in “a few more days.”

Abellana is a vocal advocate of animal welfare, having spoken up on issues such as responsible pet ownership and animal cruelty. Meanwhile, Bernal is a proud fur mom to eight adopted dogs: Pogi, Prince, Chucky, Kobe, Baby, Tsina, Small and Zubu. /ra
