“Pinilakang Tabing: Handog sa Pelikulang Pilipino,” held recently at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, was a colorful night of music and dance that featured some of the brightest stars in local entertainment.

Tangahalang Pilipino Actors Company, Ballet Philippines and the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra joined Dulce, Mitch Valdez, Bituin Escalante, Aiza Seguerra, Ciara Sotto, Jessa Zaragoza, Dingdong Avanzado, Cesar Montano, Gian Magdangal, Bela Padilla and Aljur Abrenica, among many others, in the presentation directed by Chris Millado from a script written by Floy Quintos.

Each number was prefaced by audio-visual presentations and commentaries on the industry’s history and milestones.

The event was organized by the Movie Workers Welfare Fund, Film Development Council of the Philippines and the CCP.—Allan Policarpio, contributor
