LOOK: Miel Pangilinan goes retro in 1970s disco debut party
Miel Pangilinan celebrated officially becoming an adult by going retro and grooving to disco music in her 1970s-themed 18th birthday party.
Pangilinan marked the event with her family in full attendance, all dressed up in colorful and sparkly ensembles, as seen on photography studio Nice Print Photo’s Instagram page today, Sept. 4.
“Fresh from tonight’s debut. [Miel Pangilinan’s] 18th birthday,” it said.

Aside from disco balls and glitzy ornaments, the party venue had vividly colored arcs as backdrop, with Pangilinan’s name bannered, as shown by event designer Gideon Hermosa on his Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 3.
Article continues after this advertisement“For a woman whose got the brightest future ahead of her, it was a blast from the past 18th birthday party!” he said, along with a video compilation from the event. “All 70s vibes and groovies! Surely, this debut to adulthood is a telltale sign that we will have a mix of fun and surprises from our dear [Miel Pangilinan] showing everyone she’s struttin’ to her own beat!”

Miel also danced for the guests while her parents, Megastar Sharon Cuneta and former Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, as well as sister KC Concepcion cheered for Miel. Her musician sister Frankie also danced and posed with her.
Other celebrities present include Darren Espanto, and sisters Angelina, Sam and Chesca Cruz.
Miel came out as queer and marked her first Pride Month as part of the LGBTQ+ community last June. Her coming out was fully supported by her family. JB
