Beatrice Luigi Gomez praised by Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtzbach, celebs for ‘well-fought’ Miss Universe journey
Catriona Gray, Pia Wurtzbach and fellow Filipino celebrities applauded Beatrice Luigi Gomez for successfully representing the Philippines in the 70th Miss Universe pageant, despite falling short of bringing home the crown.
The Cebuana beauty queen concluded her Miss Universe journey after making it to the top 5 in the pageant held at Eilat, Israel today, Dec. 13.
“You made us so proud Bea!!!” Gray, Miss Universe 2018, said as she expressed her support for Gomez on her Twitter page, also today.

Pia Wurtzbach, meanwhile, stressed the importance of Gomez’s achievement of advancing to the top 5.

Gomez is the first openly gay candidate to win the Miss Universe Philippines title. She was one of the 80 delegates who competed for the Miss Universe crown, which was won by Harnaaz Sandhu of India. JB
