Gloc-9 hints at returning to nursing as he marks 11th graduation anniversary

Rapper Gloc-9, whose real name is Aristotle Pollisco, said he may practice nursing in the future as he marked his 11th graduation anniversary yesterday, May 19.

The Filipino hip-hop veteran took to his social media accounts to celebrate the special occasion and open up to fans on his plans for the future.

“[Eleven] years ago today nag graduate ako sa kursong Nursing kahit napalapit ako sa propesyong ito dahil sa puso at koneksyon mo sa tao mas pinili ko parin ang rap,” he said on Wednesday.

The said post aptly came with a graduation photo of a cheerful Gloc-9 donning a graduation robe and a toga, and holding what seems to be his diploma in one hand.

“Napatunayan ko din na kung mahal mo ang pipiliin mo hindi ka magkakamali. Pero [alam] ko din na hindi ako habang buhay mag rarap,” Gloc-9 admitted.

(I also proved that when you love what you choose, you can never go wrong. But I also know that I will not be rapping forever.)

“Darating din ang araw na babalik din ako sa kung ano ang tinapos ko. Kung mangyayare man yun [gusto] kong magpasalamat ng lubos dahil tinupad ninyo ang pangarap ko,” he added.

(The day will come when I will return to what I finished in school. If that ever happens, I want to thank from the bottom of my heart those who helped me reach my dream.)

The Pinoy rap legend in August last year praised healthworkers battling the COVID-19 pandemic while also looking back at his days as a nursing student.

Gloc-9, one of the most famous rappers in the country, is behind several successful hits such as “Simpleng Tao,” “Lando,” Sirena,” “Upuan” and “Magda.” The rapper on Sept. 1 last year marked his 23rd anniversary in the music industry.  /ra
