A first, historic: BTS graces cover of Rolling Stone
BTS is the first Asian group to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone this June, making history as the first all-Asian band that fronted the magazine, according to The Korea Herald.
The report said the 54-year-old magazine proclaimed it “iconic,” noting: “Attention, after years of asking for it, BTS have finally landed on the cover of Rolling Stone.”
In the meantime, a collector’s edition is in the works that features eight BTS covers, the newsstand cover with all seven members, as well as seven individual covers. It’s available in small quantities and costs US$150.
The magazine releases the septet’s first official interview this year to promote “Butter.” The in-depth feature titled “The Triumph of BTS” covers how the Korean band became the “biggest band in the world.”
Hong Janghyun took the photos in Seoul last month, and the artists were adorned in Louis Vuitton, for which they became house ambassadors in April.
