Michael V reveals doctors saw condition that could lead to pneumonia

MANILA, Philippines  — Wanting to be transparent about his health, Michael V. on Friday revealed that doctors saw a condition that may lead to pneumonia.

In an Instagram post, the comedian, who previously disclosed he contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), said that he underwent an X-ray to see if he has pneumonia.

Some COVID-19 patients have had pneumonia or other symptoms of flu.

“Sa mga concerned, nagpa-X-ray ako kahapon para masiguro kung meron akong pneumonia. Medyo mabilis kasi akong mapagod,” Michael V. said.

(To those who are concerned about my health, I took an X-ray yesterday to see if I have pneumonia because I get tired quickly.)

Michael V. added that results showed that doctors saw a condition that could lead to pneumonia.

However, health experts assured him that he does not need to be confined in a hospital.

“Niresetahan nila ako ng antibiotics at sinabihang sa bahay na lang ituloy ang pagpapagaling,” he said.

(I was given antibiotics, and was told to stay at home so I could recuperate.)

“Naka-self quarantine pa rin po ako para sa safety ng lahat ng nasa paligid ko.”

(I am still under self-quarantine for the safety of those around me.)

Michael V. then thanked his fans for their prayers, and advised to be responsible enough so as not to contract COVID-19.

“Laging maging malinis sa paligid at pangangatawan. At lagi ring magsuot ng mask at (personal protective equipment) PPE. Stay home everyone and stay safe,” he said.

(Your environment, as well as your body,  must always be clean. Also wear a mask and PPE. Stay home everyone and stay safe.)

It was through a YouTube vlog posted on Monday that the comedian, also known as “Bitoy,” revealed that he tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
