Sylvia Sanchez, COVID-19 survivor, ‘so grateful’ to celebrate birthday
Sylvia Sanchez celebrated her birthday in quarantine, weeks after she came home after recovering from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Sanchez was surprised at home with cake and party decor by her family, including kids Arjo and Ria Atayde, as seen in her Instagram post yesterday, May 19.

“So grateful I was still blessed enough to celebrate my life today,” she said. “Although the situation we are (in) isn’t ideal, I know that there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel. Just have faith.”
Ria greeted her mom on Instagram with pictures of her mom holding her when she was a child.

“May your second shot at life be even more colorful (but less stressful) than your first!”
The actress announced on March 31 that she and her husband, Art Atayde, tested positive for coronavirus. They both had to fight pneumonia and were able to return home after a month. /ra
