The multi-awarded artist will be working with her nonprofit organization, the Born This Way Foundation, for the cause. She will also partner with DonorsChoose.org, which allows individuals to donate directly to public school classroom projects.

The initiative will cover a total of 162 classrooms; 14 in Dayton, 125  in El Paso and 23 in Gilroy.

The charitable effort will provide students “access to the support they need to inspire their students to work together and bring their dreams to life.”

Gaga, who has openly promoted discussions on mental health, encouraged people who are struggling to seek help.

She also advised her fans and followers to check on others, saying: “If you see a loved one struggling, please be brave and reach out, remind them it’s ok to not be ok, and listen to them.”

“We cannot turn away from ourselves,” she added. “We cannot turn away from our loved ones. We need each other. Don’t turn away.” JB
