Fellow actors wish Eddie Garcia a quick recovery

MANILA, Philippines — Fellow entertainers sent messages of love through social media to veteran actor Eddie Garcia after he suffered a massive heart attack while shooting on location in Manila.

In a statement released by his family, the 90-year-old actor was on the set of an upcoming GMA teleserye on Saturday when he suffered a heart attack.

The statement also read that Garcia is in “critical observation.”

Megastar Sharon Cuneta shared on Instagram a photo of the official statement released by Garcia’s family. She asked her fellow “prayer warriors” for the speedy recovery of her “Tito Eddie.”

“He played my Daddy in my first movie and was my co-star in several others,” she said of Garcia. “He directed my 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th movies, and a big part of all I have learned in terms of acting, work ethic, professionalism came from HIM.”

Janno Gibs shared a hilarious throwback photo of him and Garcia.

“Pagaling ka Manoy! Mahal kita!” the singer captioned the photo.

Vice Ganda on Twitter prayed for Garcia’s “wellness and safety.”

Singer Ronnie Liang felt sad on hearing the news about what happened to Garcia.

On Facebook, Aiko Melendez said she was “sincerely praying” for Garcia.

Sincerely Praying for Tito Eddie Garcia who is in the hospital now 🙏 May Jesus heal him!
